Hermes Femandez, Bond, Schoeneck & King, LLP You and your employees are on-line. What are the risks and responsibilities? This session will explore the employer's liability for the electronic storage and exchange of health and other personal information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and other statutes. Also discussed will be the balance between the personal privacy of employees and employer interests monitoring and controlling on-line activity.
  2. The Virtual Benefits Administrator
Robert J. Kuelzow, Rose & Kiernan Incorporated
    Arthur Berry, Enwisen
Explore the technology available to plan sponsors for online benefits administration. This nuts-and-bolts session will include a demonstration of one of the on-line systems available as well as a discussion of what type of workforce is best served by the use of this technology.
  3. Creative Benefits for the New Work Force
Clark Tucker, William M. Mercer, Inc.
While job decisions still depend primarily on salary and stock options, being able to offer an array of creative benefits helps pull in talent. Many companies view these benefits as a necessary tool to help employees achieve a work/life balance, which will (hopefully) result in a happier, more productive workforce and higher retention levels. Learn about what some leading edge companies are doing in this area.
  4. Show Me the Money! Executive Compensation Strategies
    Stewart Reifler, PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP
In today's competitive market, attracting key employees is becoming more challenging than attracting new business.
